Love Lifted Me

As I was listening to His voice tonight, a familiar song from my childhood came to me. What an encouragement these words were to me. James Rowe penned these words so eloquently. He was so inspired by the passage of scriptures in Matthew 14:27-31

Matthew 14:27-31 NLT

But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!”
Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”
“Yes, come,” Jesus said.

So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”

Be lifted up as you allow Love to lift you…..

I was sinking deep in sin,
far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within,
sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help,Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help,Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give,
ever to Him I’ll cling,
In His blessed presence live,
ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true,
merits my soul’s best songs,
Faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs.

Souls in danger, look above,
Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love,
out of the angry waves.
He’s the Master of the sea,
billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.
