I believe that one of the most simple concepts of scriptures is also the hardest to understand for some people. Maybe it was because of poor earthly relationships or maybe because our eyes have been blinded by the one person who could lose so much if we undestood it. My friend, let me settle this in your heart today…You are Completely Loved!
Do you remember growing up in Sunday School singing Jesus Loves Me This I Know, For The Bible Tells Me So? I bet most of you remember. Even now it is going through your mind. We know the words to the song but somehow, even if we won’t admit it, we struggle with believing it. Even if we say we believe it, we struggle with believing it fully. Yes, we know we are loved, but do you know you are Completely Loved?
It is every persons desire to love and to be loved. Guys may not admit it, but deep inside, there is a yearning in our hearts to love someone and to know that we are loved too. We long to be the protector and caretaker and always make things right. Little girls dream of meeting that special one who will love them and make them feel safe. They dream of the fairytale wedding and meeting prince charming. Every person has a need. Every person needs to love. Every person needs to be loved. These eartly desires are just the revealing of our true nature. Our whole being cries for intimacy with our Maker. Deep within us there is a desire…a yearning…a craving to be loved.
Herein lies the Good News…You Are!! Scripture after scripture carries the thought the we are loved completely and unconditionally. And just in case we missed the blatant signs, He makes it very clear to us, For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. He also says even while we were yet in sin, Christ died for us. Friend, there is nothing you could do to earn it. It’s a free gift. Scripture even confirms that It is by grace that you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Max Lucado once made a statement that is embedded in my mind. He said that the only things I contribute to my salvation are my sins and my willingness to get rid of them.
No matter where you are right now. No matter what your past. No matter what your present. God loves you….completely. Paul puts it this way, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Dear one…you are unequivically, without regret or remorse, Completely Loved!!!
Live it in and live free……

The ironic thing is that sometimes we hold back from God and will only let him get so close. like somehow if he saw all of us, he would love us less or not at all. Truth is we all have times when we are Jacob and those when we are israel. he is probably the only one who is able to love us completely even at our worst. I believe that its through the realization and acceptance of His love for us, despite flaws and failings, that we are even able to love and receive love from another….seek ye first
