I was listening to a song from Downhere the other day and one song really stood out to me.  It seems that the majority of people are either locked in the past or have their minds in the future.  Not saying that the past is always bad.  I made a post a while back on Stones of Remembrance.  It’s good to remember where you’ve been.  It’s also good to have a plan for where you’re going.  Heaven is a good place to plan for.

However, there is something important about NOW.  You can remember the past and plan for the future, but you must live in the here and now.  Staying in the past will only bring you heartache and resentment.  Living in the future is unrealistic.  You are a now being.

I’ve lived my life in the past and it nearly destroyed me.  Hurt, angry, depressed, sorry over things I’ve done…all these theings hang around your past.  I’ve even thought that looking to the future would give me a reprieve.  I only found dreams that would never be fulfilled.

Looking at this song, I realized something.  The prize is right before me.  It’s found in a life that is found in Christ.  In Him we live, move, and have our being.  NOW!!!  My life in Christ is just that…LIFE.  You can’t “live” anywhere but the present.  I’m so thankful for each day, for each breath, for each friend, for each revelation., for each new moment.  Every second is a new opportunity.

If you are struggling with today, then look to the moment.  Don’t look to the past, look to Him.  I’m alive in Christ.  The same Spirit that raised Him from the dead will quicken your mortal bodies.  You are alive!!!!!  Don’t miss now….

Your prize is right before you, somehow
