As the whole world looks to the birth of Christ, let us look within to find an amazing gift.  The natural senses look to that special site where a babe was born over 2000 years ago.  We remeber the shepherds who saw the light and heard the angels.  We remember the magi who came bearing gifts.  We even remember the animals in the cave as Mary gave birth to the Son of God.

What we sometimes forget is that His name is called Emmanuel or God with us.  Maybe you are feeling lonely this season.  Maybe there just isn’t something right inside your heart.  As you prepare to spend time with friends and family, you still feel like you’re missing something.  There is a void in your heart.

Don’t forget that His name is Emmanuel…which means God with us.  What a precious gift He has given to us.  He didn’t just come to be born as a baby and not even to just live a sinless life.  He also came to live within you.  Honestly, I don’t always understand why he would choose to live in these vessels of clay.  I do know that we are His creation, crafted in His likeness for His glory.

When Jesus lives within us, He also tells us that the Kingdom of God is within us.  We become ambassadors for Christ.  We walk in His righteousness and grace.  We are called to share with other that Good News.
