Angel In Brown Shorts

I just had to share this story of God’s provision with everyone. Even though we should expect a supernatural God to act….well…supernaturally, sometimes the way He does it is truly amazing.

I attended a concert the other night and a group called Revive was on stage sharing God’s faithfulness in the midst of uncertainties. They are a Christian band that has come to the U.S. from Australia. When they came over here, they only knew a few people and even though they were touring with Third Day, they didn’t think many people knew about them.

They had a tour bus here in the States but it was constantly breaking down and costing them money and time off the road. After one of the times when it had broken down, they took it to their mechanic and told him to just fix it quick and cheap. Btw, more proof that every Christian band is not getting rich from concerts and CD sales.

They gave the mechanic one of their CD’s and he sat it on the desk. The next day, as the mechanic was getting a delivery from the UPS man, he noticed the CD of Revive on the mechanic’s desk. The UPS man ask how the mechanic knew the group and he proceeded to explain that their bus was broken down and he was fixing it. The UPS man then proceeded to pay for all of the repairs to the bus. Wow!!! God really chose to use a simple CD on a desk to open up a conversation so He could bless Revive.

Maybe you are in a financial need right now. Perhaps you need some other miracle in your life. My friend, let me remind you of God’s faithfulness to all generations. Even if God wouldn’t have chosen to provide for their bus repairs, He still would’ve been God. God is more interested in you than in material possessions.

Even with the economic downturn happening, God is still God. There was a famine in the land a long time ago. God raised up a man named Joseph would had earlier been sold into slavery by his brothers. Jehovah Jirah put Joseph into a very powerful position in a heathen nation so that God’s chosen could be provided for. God always has the final say. Maybe He will use an “angel in brown shorts” and maybe he won’t. Regardless, He is God. Settle it in your heart today.

Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations…..Psalm 119:90
