Who Has The Better Health Plan?

President Obama unveiled his “health plan”  and no big surprise, it was terrible, in my own opinion. No this isn’t a political blog but it got me thinking how much trust we put in our government, our employer, our family, etc.   For some reason, we have put these other groups up as being our source.

While the President and Congress are fighting over whether or not this plan will fly, probably without even consulting with the ones who it will really effect since they won’t have to worry about it, I must put my total trust in my God who is my only source.

Psalm 103 immediately comes to my mind. It instructs us in verse 2 to “Bless the Lord and not forget all of His benefits.” Verse 3 goes on to explain those benefits, one of which is that He heals ALL of your diseases.

I’ve heard someone say that God can heal diseases but He really isn’t concerned with the little things. There couldn’t be anything farther from the truth. God can heal the things that seem smaller or the mountains that seem impassible. Any health plan really just leaves you treating the manifestations of a greater problem. Only the Great Physician can really heal.

So my friend, as the debate goes on in Washington over the president’s health plan that could leave all of America really sick, remember to bless God and remember His benefits. God really does have a better plan.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.–Psalm 20:7
