In the couple weeks since I started The Balm of Gilead, I have been under such an attack physically. From a kidney stone to an epidsode where my blood sugar level dropped to a case of strep throat, I don’t ever recall a time when I have suffered from so many different physical ailments at the same time. Under normal circumstances, other than kidney stones, I consider myself a fairly heathy person.
So when is enough more than enough? I believe it is now!
My pastor preached such an anointed message this past Sunday called “Look And Live.” The sermon was based from the Old Testament story of when the fiery serpents and bit the children of Israel. God instructed Moses to fashion a metal snake and nail it to a pole. Moses told his people that if they would look to the serpant on a stick (sorry about that one) they would live.
If you first look at this, it sounds like idolatry and violates several of the 10 Commandments including “You will not make any graven images (for worship). This was actually a foreshadow of the Christ who would come later.
Jesus quoted this scripture when He told His disciples, “So must the Son of Man be lifted up.” Jesus knew that He would be hung upon a cross and everyone who looked to Him would live…”so that whoever believes on Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”
My friend, I believe that now is the time to take a stand and walk in faith. This is more than enough for a child of God. This isn’t just about me. I know many who are dealing with way too many things. I believe it is one of the enemies job to wear down the Body of Christ. We are unhealthy in so many areas.
I am taking the Spirit-led direction to start a fast. First, it is something that must be done in order to detoxify my body. After taking antibiotics and pain meds, I want to get that stuff out of my system. Secondly, I feel that I need to hear the voice of God concerning spiritual, emotional, and physical health. God is always speaking…I just need to have the spiritual ears to hear Him.
So when is more than enough good? One of the names of God is El Shaddai and a literal translation means that He is a God who is more than enough. I know He is more than able to heal…body, soul, and spirit.
