For a nation that is health conscious, we are
more obese and have more health problems
than ever before. I have never before seen
people who were dealing with more emotional,
physical, and spiritual problems.
Is there no medicine in Gilead? Is there
no physician there? Why is there no
healing for the wounds of my people?
Jeremiah 8:22 NLT
This scripture constantly comes before me as I
endeavor to find the healing that is necessary
for people that I care about.
When you look at the scripture, it sounds almost
like a complaint. I’m not here to complain about
the problem but to seek Truth to find healing for
broken people.
A blog that a friend of mine started and I have
contributed to
(www.beautifulache08.blogspot.com) made me
look at some issues facing friends. Sometimes,
just sharing the problem with those around you
can expose the issue and bring healing. My goal
is not to give you mere opinion, but Truth-based
realities.
Gilead was a region that was known for it’s
healing balm. It was traded and exported to
various regions. One study that I was reading
stated that the balm or medicine was not
actually produced there but was centralized
there and distributed to other regions. I am
not claiming to be the originator of the balm,
but simply a conduit that gathers and distributes
it’s healing power to all who will recieve it. My
source is Jehovah-Rapa–the God who heals.
I believe that healing can come through
medicine, prayer, and acting intentionally
according to the Word. Ultimately, every
healing comes from the hand of God. He gives
doctors wisdom to perform surgery but He can
also interrupt that process and bring a complete
healing either instantaneously or progressively.
You may be dealing with emotional issues
that cripple you from functioning normally
and need God to heal your broken heart. Maybe
you need a spiritual healing that can only be
mended through the Giver of Life himself.
Perhaps you are suffering from a physical
malady that steals the joy out of your life.
Join me as we search for Truth. I offer you the
prayer of John…Bloved, I wish above all
things that you prosper and be in health,
even as your sould prospers.
Thank you and be blessed. We are all on this journey together. I personally can think of many people that need healed, as well as myself. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Julie
Yes, we all do in some way. You be healed…it’s a blessing that comes through the stripes of Jesus.
Yes, the key is to tap into it. Jesus said “it is finished.” He also referred to our healing, etc as “already done” and “just ask”. How do we tap into this realm of healing? I famous singer wrote an amazing song and when asked where he got the idea of writing such a piece of art he replied “it was as if it was already written and I just tapped into it”…. The question is not “is it for me?” The question is… “how do I receive Him/it”
That’s right Tif! It’s not a question of “Is it for me?” Peter quoted Isaiah and said “By His stripes we were healed.” It’s a past action that is already accomplished….receive it!!!
